dear stranger started in 2023 — almost by accident.

Behind the project is Boris Kamphausen, born in 1990 and raised in Thurgau, Switzerland. Music had always been a huge passion, but for a long time it stayed mostly private. Apart from a few attempts as a teenager, performing on stage was never really part of the plan.

That changed when a spontaneous joke turned into a real opportunity: Boris offered to play as a support act at Wyfelder Fritig — and suddenly found himself on stage.

Since then, dear stranger has played at festivals, private birthday parties, weddings and opening events.

And hopefully, this is only the beginning.
